The annual Halloween excursion on the Northern Central Railroad in New Freedom, PA, will be held Saturday October 31, 2009. We will run the Stewartstown Railroad in the morning and the Northern Central Railroad at 3PM. If the Stewartstown Railroad is not ready, we will run the NCRR both trips. The set-on for the first trip will be 9AM in New Freedom, PA. Set-on for the second trip will be 3PM at the same location. The afternoon/evening excursion will include night running and a cookout in Howard Tunnel. Bring your own food to cook and whatever else you want to eat and drink. We will supply the fire. You may bring something to share, but it’s not required.  Sunday November 1, 2009, we will run the Stewartstown Railroad followed by a portion of the NCRR. Set-on for Sunday will be at 9AM in New Freedom. Round trip for the NCRR is approximately 34 miles. RT for the Stewartstown RR is approximately 14 miles. These are NARCOA excursions. Price for the entire weekend or any part is $35.
